PostSubject: David's Paranoia   Tue Apr 07, 2009 8:32 am

David was in his pent house suite, suite number 172, in the Grand Fresco Hotel in Raccoon City. He was wearing his tight, grey muscle shirt and baggy black cargo pants, with his bullet proof vest and melee vest on over his shirt. He hasn't took the two vests off since the horrible incident in the Arklay Mountains just days before, which most called him paranoid and deranged. He had his usual Bretta 9mm automatic pistol at his side in its holster, with his huge 12in hunting blade on his other side in its holster. He had permits for every weapon he owned so he could carry them at all times in public and private residences.

David was going through his personal cache of weapons. It was a huge silver case that was fitted in bulletproof glass made special for the S.T.A.R.S. Unit at the RCPD. He was going through it and grabbing cases of ammo for his pistol and checking almost every bullet as he put it into his clips. After he was done with this task he check his pistol again and made sure that both vests were on tightly and correctly, and then he headed out his suite door.

As he exited the suite and began to head for the elevator he heard a strange sound behind him, the sound was something that was limping towards him. He took a gulp as he remembered the strange creatures he encountered at one of the cannabalism reports in the Arklay Mountains.

"In my own suite? No, it can't be! Can it?" Drake thought to himself before quickly pulling out his pistol and turning in one swift motion, only to find out that he was pointing his Bretta at the doorman, Albert, who had been carrying luggage with a hurt ankle. Thus, this created the limping sound that David was startled by.

"GOD! Put that thing down before you hurt someone!" Albert shouted as he hurrily limped by David in the hallway, trying to get to one of the elevators before David got in with him. "Why are you so paranoid for?! Ever since you and Chris escaped the helicopter crash in the Arklay Mountains, you two have been acting so strange and paranoid." Albert continued shouting at David as the two moved into one of the open elevators and waited on it to close and take them to the bottom floor of the lobby.

"Helicopter crash? Is that what they are saying we escaped from?!" David shouted, this being the first time he heard of any coverup about the S.T.A.R.S. Unit Alpha Team's horrible encounter in the Arklay Mountains.

"Yeah, but I don't believe them, David Ray. I know it was them mutated dogs, creatures, and "zombies" that attacked you all out there." Albert said, a little hint of laughter in voice as he said this. There was then a couple minutes of silence as they waited on the elevator to ding open and release them from the small room. As the door opened, Albert looked at David for only a second before laughing and hurrying off and into the huge lobby room filled with fancy chairs, desks, couches, and people.

David merely sighed as he slowly walked out of the elevator, his black combat boots hitting the ground as he walked through the lobby and then out the door. His eyes seemed to be blind as a huge ray of midday sunlight hit him as he stepped out the spinning lobby doors. He just shook his head as he looked at the Arklay Mountains were the S.T.A.R.S. Unit Bravo Team were stationed trying to figure out the truth of Alpha Team's claim. He sighed again as he noticed all the clueless people just going about there daily business, not knowing about the epidemic about to erupt. He just continued to walk down the street towards the RCPD that was just a couple blocks down the busy city street.

As David made his way down the busy city street, there were a couple odd stares at his direction and a couple smirks as well, this was starting to aggitate David. But he kept his head held high and continued his way towards the Raccoon City Police Department which was now in sight just up ahead.

He marched through the huge steel double doors and entered the main lobby of the huge facility, several police officers didn't even notice the S.T.A.R.S. Agent walk in. There was a huge series of desk infront of him at the other end of the room, with chairs along the side of the room. Several officers were dealing with criminals, the ones in the lobby had either made bail, were using there only phone call, or assisting in another crime to help in there own situation.

As David walked through the room to his own office behind one of the desks, another officer stopped him after he had subdued a drunken by handcuffing him to a bolted down chair. "Hello, David. I just heard about what happened to your team out in the mountains, and I am sorry." The man said in a sorrow toned voice.

"You mean the helicopter crash?" David said, just shaking his head at the coverup story.

"No, I mean what truely happened out there. I believe both you and Chris about the strange creatures." The cop stated, placing a firm grip on David's shoulder.

"Yeah, well you should be trying your best to ready yourself for whats about to happen. The cases and reports of cannabalism are growing from the original nine cases in the last three weeks, to seven new cases in the past three days. They also seem to be moving closer to Raccoon City and out of the Arklay Mountains, so just be ready Josh." David said, now walking backwards so he could maintain eye contact with Josh.

"I am, David, don't you worry about me. Stockpile is my middle name." Josh said, a little hint of humor in the last part of the sentence.

"Yeah, well lets hope that my middle name is survived." David shouted as he walked through his office door and laughed for the first time in what seemed like forever. His mood quickly changed though, as he saw the huge pile of paperwork on his desk and noticed that it was only eleven-thirty. So he just slumped down into his office chair and began working through the paperwork.
